Ten things I learned at the zoo today.

  1. Most fuzzy animals are cats. Evan really likes cats. He loved the medium/big cats, especially the clouded leopard, fishing cat and caracal. Meerkats (kat, duh?), foxes, and mongooses are also cats.
  2. Naked mole rats, aardvarks, and porcupines are terrifying.
  3. African wild dogs and giraffes are pretty neat. Giraffe puppets are amazing.
  4. Little people live on stage are cute, but not very captivating to someone with an attention like a goldfish.
  5. One year olds can still spit up, but do so in epic fashion. Sorry grandma.
  6. Grandma and mom really enjoy the great bear wilderness. We loved all the folk art and native american items in well placed Disney style exit gift shop.
  7. Evan can bust out with words properly. We have been trying grandma and water lately with no success. Today he called to grandma and said water at the fountain. Amazing!
  8. Evan can walk holding hands and he's really cute doing it. Walking alone? Won't happen for quite some time.
  9. Evan made it through the day will minimal hitting and took a much needed nap. We didn't go in a lot of the animal houses due to the nap, but there is always next time.
  10. I love my mom. We had a super great day today.
